Virgie Palmer Receives Prestigious Award
Virgie Palmer, Vice President and Mortgage Originator at Citizens National Bank’s Downtown Banking Center, has been honored by the East Mississippi Board of Realtors as their Affiliate of the Year. The announcement was made during a ceremony held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
Virgie has been an affiliate in the organization for the past four years and was chosen to receive the award based on her professionalism and enthusiasm, her involvement in community projects, and her regular attendance at the organization’s meetings.
The Nomination Committee stated: “Virgie is always going the extra mile to help not only our members, but the clients of our members. She takes great pride in her work and has a servant’s heart. In addition, she truly gets excited when new loan programs become available that can benefit her clients. She is always the first to volunteer to help our association with meetings and special events, and is an absolute joy to work with! She loves helping people and it shows in everything she does.” The Committee also referenced that Virgie is always willing to share her knowledge by serving as a featured speaker at their meetings as well as conducting first time homebuyer classes and workshops in local churches and high schools.
The Board also commented: “Virgie is a highly respected person within the community. She conducts herself with a great deal of professionalism and stays educated on all types of loans to help get the best for local buyers. Our agents love working with her because she makes the home buying process as easy as possible.”
Virgie and her husband, Jimmy, are proud parents of a son Justin and a daughter Leann, as well as five grandsons.
