North Region Promotions
Two employees have been promoted in CNB's North Mississippi Region. Addison Lawrence has been promoted to DeSoto County President, while Tim Leitaker has been promoted to the position of Senior Relationship Banker.
Jeffrey Smith, CNB's North Mississippi Regional President, recently commented as follows: "During Addison’s time with our Bank, he has done an excellent job of embracing CNB’s core values. He has also been very successful in bringing new relationships to our Bank as well as growing existing relationships. Considering our Bank's growth in DeSoto County, Addison’s leadership capabilities and proven track record, make him an excellent fit for this position," Jeffrey added.
Addison is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Risk Management, Insurance, and Financial Planning as well as a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Workforce Education Leadership. He furthered his education by graduating from the Mississippi School of Banking at Ole Miss and the Southeastern School of Commercial Lending.
In 2021, he was recognized as a Leader in Finance by the Mississippi Business Journal.
Prior to joining our Bank five years ago, Addison was employed with Guaranty Bank and Trust Company in Senatobia, Miss. He also has prior experience as an Executive Team Leader for Target Corporation in Birmingham, Ala. where he managed over 50 employees and managed day to day operations.
Originally from Coldwater, Mississippi, Addison and his wife Courtney have two sons, Ace and Mox, who are eight years old and 10 years old respectively, and their family attends Compel Church in Southaven. Addison previously played football for the MSU Bulldogs and the Baltimore Ravens.
In regard to Tim Leitaker's promotion to Senior Relationship Banker, Jeffrey Smith commented as follows: "Tim brings over 29 years of banking experience to his new role as Senior Relationship Banker, with the majority of that experience being in commercial lending. Since joining CNB two and a half years ago, Tim has grown his loan portfolio by more than $15 million, grown deposits, and cross-sold business banking services to many clients, while also bringing in new business for CNB's Wealth Management Department. In addition to his role as Senior Relationship Banker, he will continue serving as Carthage and Kosciusko Market President.
For the past nine years, Andy Hughes has served in the position of Senior Relationship Banker, which Tim has now assumed. "Andy has done an outstanding job for our bank during his 9-year tenure,” Jeffrey said. “While Andy has announced his plans for retirement, he has graciously agreed to work part-time through year-end to assist Andy Nichols, CNB's Columbus Market President and Relationship Banker, as well as Tim Leitaker, in their areas of responsibility. We are very fortunate that Andy is willing to continue serving our bank in this capacity, and his 40 years of banking experience is an asset to our team," Jeffrey added.
Originally from Carthage, Tim Leitaker began his banking career with Citizens National Bank in 1994, serving as an Assistant Vice President in the Bank’s Laurel market. Over the course of his career, Tim has served as a City President for AmSouth Bank in Vicksburg, as an Executive Vice President for Heritage Banking Group in Carthage and as an Executive Vice President for Community Bank in Brandon, Miss before he returned to CNB in January 2021.
A 1991 graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, Tim and his wife, Tammy, attend First Baptist Church in Carthage. They have a son, Parker, who is 24 years old, and a granddaughter, Sutton, who will be two years old in November.
Active in the community, Tim is a member of the Leake Academy Athletic Foundation, and is a member of the Mississippi State University Bulldog Club.
Congratulations to Addison and Tim on your well-deserved promotions.
