North Region Promotions
Christina Walker was recently promoted to the position of Bank Manager at our East Columbus Banking Centre. A CNB employee since April 2016, Christina originally joined our team as a CSR and was promoted to the position of a Personal Banker in July 2018.
Originally from Columbia, South Carolina, Christina grew up in Tupelo and is a graduate of Tupelo High School. She earned her Associates Degree from Itawamba Community College and her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from the Mississippi University for Women with an emphasis in painting and drawing.
She and her husband, Matthew, have been married seven years and have two sons: Sam is five years old and Graycen is three. The family attends Life Church GTR where Christina serves on the Praise team and with the Children’s Ministry.
Christina’s community involvement includes serving on the Education Committee for the Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce.
Jeffrey Smith, CNB’s North MS Regional President, recently commented: “Christina was very successful as a Personal Banker, having won the Bank’s quarterly High Performance Award thirteen times, and is well on her way to filling up a third plaque. She loves CNB and she loves assisting her customers in achieving their financial dreams,” he added.
Kristi Beard, who most recently served as an Assistant Vice President and Bank Manager at CNB’s East Columbus Banking Centre, has been promoted to the position of Regional Support Officer for CNB’s North Region. Kristi is assuming the position previously held by Shannon Shaw, who is retiring from the Bank in June after 25 years of service.
With 33 years of banking experience, Kristi joined CNB in June 1996 as an administrative assistant to Jeffrey Smith, who was serving as Columbus Market President at the time. Prior to joining our Bank, Kristi was employed with Deposit Guaranty National Bank as a commercial loan assistant. During her career at CNB, she served as a consumer lender, as well as Bank Manager at both North Columbus and East Columbus at various times.
Kristi’s community involvement includes membership in the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce.
Jeffrey Smith, Regional President, said: “Over the years, Kristi has proven herself to be a very capable and dependable employee and teammate. She brings a wealth of experience to the position of Regional Support Officer for CNB’s North Region. Kristi has been recognized with the Bank’s High Performance Award numerous times and has also been recognized as a Bank Manager of the month for the North Region on several occasions.
Originally from Brooksville, Miss., Kristi is a graduate of Central Academy in Macon and attended East Mississippi Community College. In 1990, she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in banking and finance from Mississippi State University.
Kristi and her husband are proud parents of one daughter, Heather, who is a Registered Nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, in the Oncology Department.
