Meridian and Corporate Team Update

Nakeya Moses has been promoted to the position of Bank Manager at CNB’s West Meridian Banking Centre. Nakeya joined the Bank in January 2023 as a Personal Banker.

Originally from Fort Hood, Texas, Nakeya began her banking career with Commerce Bank in March 2017 as an Assistant Branch Manager. Serving in this role at Commerce Bank, Nakeya managed the day to day operations of the branch and coached employees on the sales process to ensure that her location met its quarterly goals.

In January 2020, Nakeya joined First Merchants Bank where she was employed for two years as a Senior Client Relationship Representative and Banking Center Customer Service Manager. Prior to joining our CNB team, Nakeya was employed with PNC Bank as a Branch Banker, where she assisted customers with the opening of new accounts and loan requests among other duties and continued to use her experience in managing the overall operations of the branch.

Neil Henry, CNB’s Meridian Regional President, recently commented on Nakeya’s promotion. “For many months, I have enjoyed watching Nakeya lead by example at our West Meridian location and she has performed at a high level since joining our team. For example, she has led numerous meetings each month, all pertaining to product knowledge and has invested valuable time, effort and energy in helping her team to become proficient in recognizing referral opportunities for these products. She has also generated strong results personally by working her contacts and referrals and by setting up appointments for quality “one on one” conversations utilizing the NGAGE process. I’m very proud of Nakeya as she’s earned this promotion and will continue to build on the positive momentum set before her under Brandi Myers’s leadership as the previous bank manager at this location,” Neil added.

Brandi Myers has been appointed to serve as CNB’s Electronic Banking Team Lead. A member of the CNB family since June 2015, Brandi was originally hired as a Personal Banker at CNB’s North Meridian Banking Centre and served in that position until she was promoted in March 2020 to serve as Assistant Bank Manager at the same location. In January 2021, she was promoted once again to serve as Bank Manager at CNB’s West Meridian Banking Centre.

A 2001 graduate of Newton County Academy, Brandi furthered her education at East Central Community College. Prior to joining our Bank, she gained valuable experience from 2006 to 2015 in the hospice care industry, serving as both a community relations specialist and as a patient care representative during her employment with various agencies. She also has prior banking experience as a CSR with Regions Bank in Meridian from 2004 to 2005.

She and her husband, Ryan, have been married for the past 20 years and are proud parents of two sons: Gage is 15 and Remi is 11.

John Averett, the Bank’s Director of Operations, recently commented: “We are excited to welcome Brandi Myers to the Operations Department as our new Electronic Banking Team Lead. Brandi’s reputation as an experienced manager is known throughout the CNB system. The wealth of knowledge that she has gained in the retail bank will be an asset to our department for years to come, and we also appreciate how she has proven time and again that she is willing to dig in and become proficient with any responsibilities she is given. A perfect example is how she has become an expert in Business Banking Services in recent years so that she could better serve her customers,” he added.

Congratulations to Nakeya and Brandi! We look forward to your future success in leading your teams.
