Bank Manager Receives Honorable Recognition


Melissa McGlawn has been recognized by Meridian Life Magazine as one of their Top 20 Under 40. The announcement was made in a reception which was held Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Center. Melissa serves as the Bank Manager for Citizens National Bank’s North Meridian and Broadmoor locations.

Neil Henry, Meridian Regional President, recently commented: “Melissa sets the bar high as she provides exceptional customer service to our customers. Her quest for excellence also creates a very positive branch environment and she leads a very high performing team of employees. She’s committed to her work and community and is definitely one of the best young professionals in our area. She’s also a strong leader that is extremely well-liked, and I appreciate the way she spends time mentoring others within our organization,” Neil added.

Melissa also leads frequent financial literacy workshops with many of local schools and churches in an effort to help local citizens to build their credit score, become first time homeowners, and start their own business. She has also volunteered to teach a Money Matters course with the Boys and Girls Club of East Mississippi to help pave the way for the success of these young people.

Recently, Melissa was elected to serve a 3-year term as a Board Member for the United Way of East Mississippi. In addition, she is also very active in her church, Cathedral Assembly of God, which is located in Meridian.
